Higher Concept Software (HCS) have reported a very successful week
at Vertikal Days, the UK's only dedicated event
for the access and lifting equipment industry. Held at Haydock Park Racecourse on 24 and 25 June, the exhibition was
targeted at rental companies, fleet owners and lifting professionals.
"Vertikal Days is one of my favourite exhibitions", commented Katy Williams, Sales and Marketing Director. "It’s a manageable
size with a great atmosphere, so we get the chance to meet plenty of people. We had a huge amount of interest in our
Syrinx rental management software product, which was very pleasing considering the current economic climate."
HCS certainly went that extra mile to keep their customers happy at the exhibition. Manchester based Industrade, who
supply bump lifts and lift cradles for domestic and construction sites, were exhibiting their Böcker range of hoists
at the show. They had recently ordered Syrinx and are due for installation later this summer.
Industrade were keen to take advantage of the complimentary Syrinx training workshops that HCS were organising at the exhibition,
but did not want to leave their stand unattended. So Dean Hammond, Account Manager for HCS, volunteered to take charge
of Industrade’s stand whilst Stefan Devonish, the company’s owner and Paul Martindale, his Manager, attended the workshops.
Stefan said, "After looking at other hire software packages on the market, I made the decision to purchase Syrinx as it’s easy
to use. It also came highly recommended to me by other hire companies, including Rob Critchley, owner of
lifting equipment specialists Conquip, who told me they’d been using Syrinx since 2005."
Stefan went on to say, "The Syrinx workshops were well worth attending and it was so refreshing to see a company give
something back to its customers. When Dean offered to look after our stand I was surprised, but he knows the hire
industry inside out, so I wasn’t worried. The HCS stand was very busy throughout the show, so hopefully next year
I’ll be a seasoned Syrinx user and will be able to return the favour!"
HCS introduced the workshops to give their customers the opportunity to learn about untapped areas of their
hire system that Syrinx can identify and add value to their business. Katy Williams states, "The workshops provide a
fantastic opportunity for our customers to exchange ideas with their peers from the hire industry. They have proved to
be a great success, and we’ve had very positive feedback."
