Ian says “We hope to build on our early success with constant investment in new and innovative products to build the branch until we outgrow our present location. Even to the point where we will consider incorporating another branch in a different area. It is our belief that the independent hirer will have a role, especially with the local touch, we intend not just to meet our customer’s needs but to exceed them.”

Plymouth Tool Hire offer a wide range of products and services for both the DIY customer and local builders. In addition a wide range of products is available from a drill bit to small tools up to a 9 ton dumper. “We like to think we offer the whole package” says Ian. Customers also have the choice of all on hires and off hires to be emailed directly to their office/site and also the opportunity to check invoices with an emailed PDF document. The invoices cannot be altered, but the customer can flag any mistakes before they are sent out and confirmed. This cuts down the need to chase queries, and has proved effective and received a great response from Plymouth Tool Hire customers.

Plymouth Tool Hire recently held an open day which was greatly supported by key suppliers to the hire industry and many fantastic prizes were won. Ian says “This created a lot of awareness and resulted in several new account customers; proving that a little hard work from our dedicated team and our valued suppliers has already put money back into the business and enhanced our profile.”
